Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between a free and platinum account?
A platinum member has the ability to upload up to 10 images, both public and private, an audio file and a video file. A platinum member also has access to the chatrooms, forums, and full private email control. In addition to the standard profile, a platinum member also has an extended profile that allows the member to go into a bit more detail.

A free member is able to create a profile as well as view any part of a profile. They are, however, limited to 1 photo which can be public or private.
What browser works best for this website?
We would suggest using Internet Explorer 5 or greater. The site will generally run and look the same with all browsers but we build the site with Internet Explorer in mind for full look and feel and functionality. Currently there is only a small difference in the look of the website using Firefox or Netscape. Also, some larger uploads such as video or audio may "timeout" using Firefox.
What is a "private" image?
When you specify one of your images to be private no member will be able to view it unless you have given specific permission to a member by adding their username to your private image access list. An image can be made private or made not private at anytime without review.
What is my "main" image?
You will be able to specify which one of your images is your "main" image in your admin gallery setting. What this mean is that when another member searches your area and a list of profiles display, your main image will be the one to display as a thumbnail on the results page.
What sizes are acceptable for my audio and video files?
This is a very important question. All videos must be less than 2 MB's(about 30 seconds or less) in size and audios must be less than 1 MB (about 30 seconds or less). If your video or audio file is too large try doing it again but recording for a smaller length of time.
Why is my image blurry after I upload it?
Most digital cameras create a very large photo. When you upload your image our server will automatically create thumbnail copies for use in your gallery. The larger the image is before uploading it the more blurry it will be. So if you have a very large image (bigger than (600 x 600) please use a program to resize it to 300x150 or similar size.
