Description:	"You can lead a horticulture but you can't make her think." So said Dorothy Parker, whose witticism among many adorns Lush Lounge's walls. It's a wink at both this bar's many hanging plants and its sassy attitude. A piano bar whose ivories fell silent due to neighborhood noise concerns, this delightful lounge now bops to the mix of pop tunes wafting overhead. The bar packs in lots of stools and little tables, allowing for plenty of intense conversation. Rococo religious accents, campy movie star photos, and other retro touches keep your eye engaged, while artful chocolate and fruit martinis keep the party rolling. Frequented by a loyal gay clientele, Lush Lounge's atmosphere is friendly to all who appreciate a lemon drop and a laugh. Even on weekends, however, the crowd remains fairly local, mid-30s and older, with the occasional visitor from the more rambunctious Polk Street scene.
